Develop professionals of excellence in Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts with a humane approach capable of shouldering the responsibility of building the nation and being globally competent.
Focused on undergraduate and graduate programs, SoHSSLA provides a personalized, collaborative, and a quality education in the Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts that engages students at the highest level both within and beyond the classroom, within and beyond a single discipline.
Objectives
- The School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts shall disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem relevant, and make provisions for integrated courses in commerce, humanities, social sciences, and allied disciplines in the educational programmes of the University, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
- To take appropriate measures for promoting innovations in teaching-learning processes, inter-disciplinary studies and research;
- To educate and train manpower for the development of the state in particular and the country in general;
- To pay special attention to the improvements of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people of the State, their intellectual, academic and cultural development.
